This past Tuesday, hip-hop fans across the globe celebrated the twenty year anniversary of the asasination of Harlem born, California emcee Tupac "2Pac" Shakur. This week, the trailer for the upcoming biopoc of 2Pac's life, "All Eyez On Me" released. Y'all know I said I'm a bit weary of biopics since Hollyweird has been shoving them down our throats (remember the horrific Aaliyah biopic that was like a MTV parody?), but this looks like it's going to be excellent. 2Pac will be played by actor Demetrius Shipp who looks and sounds just like 2Pac. He also played Pac in the 2015 NWA biopic "Straight Outta Compton". Remember Jamal Woolard, the young man who played Notorious B.I.G. in the 2009 "Notorious" biopic? He'll be playing Biggie in this film as well.

The set release date for this film is November 11, 2016 and is directed by Philadelphia music video director, Benny Boom. From the looks of the trailer, it seems it will be covering a lot of Shakur's dynamic life including his relationship with his mother, the late Afeni Shakur, camaraderie with the secretary of the Illuminati, Shug Knight, his rape accusation, time in prison, and issues with the media. Take a peek of the trailer below:
