Look of the Day: Hook, Line, & Slayage: Fishy Business

Vintage 1980's prints make the world go 'round! I have a few looks from the summer I haven't posted yet and I have to get all of 'em posted before the autumn (my new favorite season) because I plan on snapping on every look! Stay tuned lovelies, it's a must!

Although it looks like a one piece, this is actually a two piece westbound sport matching set. I absolutely adore the sea green, purple, and white color scheme going on here along with the fish pattern. Very nautical and would look bomb on a tropical vacation or on a boat ride. If this pattern and style ain't vintage 80's, I don't know what is! I decided like Solange to add this vintage 1980's orange, chunky waist belt to the set and it was put the cherry on top. It really does give it a "one piece" look and makes the fit stand out.

I accessorized this look with a bunch of midi rings I bought in the clearance section at H&M ($1 for each bunch. Don't sleep on the clearance rack, y'all), a pair of vintage clip on dangle and drop, gold plated earrings, my favorite Juicy Couture heart chain necklace, vintage rhinestone fish brooch, and of course my favorite white framed cat eye glasses. Of course I can't forget my metallic gold purse either that I always pair with my vintage looks. That's definitely 80's.

Now that I'm getting more into makeup, I've noticed how small my eyelids are! I mean, I already knew this but since I purchased my new matte eyeshadow palette from BH Cosmetics, I'm just like "wow". Anywho, I'm still not a pro at this (yet), but I wanted to add a cute sea green and purple eyeshadow for an "oceanic" feel, plus it matches the outfit perfectly. Now that I think of it, a pop of orange would have looked fab as well.  I added a nude lip to simplify the look with NYX Cosmetics' "Cookie Butter" lip gloss (the smell is divine, by the way).

I'm still diggin' this look. Wonder if I could pull it off again in the autumn.
