Nigerian-Cameroonian pop star, Dencia promotes skin bleaching product called "Whitenicious". Skin-bleaching has been a problem in the Caribbean as well as some parts of Africa. I was having a conversation with one of my buddies who has Nigerian parents and she told me that in Nigeria, skin bleaching is done to even out skin due to dark spots or uneven skin from the sun. That's understandable. Everything isn't always self-hate or low-self esteem, but Dencia definitely took it to a whole other level.
