"Juice" Movie 25th Anniversary

Today marks the 25th anniversary of the legendary, hip-hop movie "Juice" starring the late hip-hop great Tupac "2Pac" Shakur, Omar Epps, Jermaine "Huggy" Hopkins, and Khalil Kain. Directed by Ernest Dickerson, the film tells the tale of four Harlem, New York friends who get into a whole heap 'a trouble on their daily journeys. "Juice" even touched on the issue of police harassment and gangs. It was also somewhat of an "introduction" to 2Pac's "bad boy" persona during his portrayal of the character "Bishop".

Cameo appearances by Queen Latifah, Special Ed, Treach from the group "Naughty By Nature", and DJ Scratch were made. "Juice" hold a legacy of being one of the many influential films in the hip-hop community because it highlighted the art of deejaying, street culture, and an immaculate ass soundtrack.
