From the cast of Family Matters reuniting to the 25th Anniversary of Martin, 90's nostalgia is on and poppin' right now. Like many Black girls across America, Moesha was one of my favorite television shows growing up. For the first time in sixteen years, the cast of the iconic 1990's show reunited on The Real for their November 3rd episode. The show Moesha aired from 1996 to 2001 and even brought forth a spin off show, The Parkers. Moesha was based on African American teen Moesha Mitchell and her adventures through high school surrounding her family, friendship, dating, teen pregnancy, drugs, and other issues. Moesha was hands down one of the most relatable television shows ever made geared towards teenagers.

Brandy Norwood (Moesha Mitchell), Countess Vaughn (Kim Parker) Shar Jackson (Niecey), Marcus T. Paulk (Miles Mitchell), Sheryl Lee Ralph (Dee Mitchell), William Allen Young (Frank Mitchell), and Ray J (Dorian aka "D-Money") joined The Real to reunite and discuss the influence of the show. The Real even set the stage to look like the kitchen on the Moesha set where many of the main scenes took place.

The beloved and memorable characters Lamont Bentley (Hakeem Campbell) and Yvette Wilson (Andell Wilkerson) passed away in 2001 and in 2012. Shar Jackson shared her fondest memories with the two describing a prank Lamont played on Yvette while working on the set. William Allen Young even discussed his role as a positive Black father figure on the show and how his role even influenced viewers and fans.

The cast was asked if they'd like to see Moesha be rebooted and the all agreed especially since the show ended on a cliff. This seems to be the era for reboots, so it probably would be a good idea. Check out the full video of the reunion below:

"Dee" looks amazing, Countess Vaughn is still her silly self, and it was so heartwarming to see everyone reunited, even Brandy got emotional. It was actually nice that the hosts on The Real didn't bring up any behind the scenes drama and kept it a peaceful, warm and loving atmosphere (I guess that's Wendy Williams' job, right?) Wondering what other 1990's and 2000's shows will be reuniting next.

And let's not forget the amazing theme song:

"Mo the The, E to The!"
