My Natural Hair Wish List

I returned natural in September of 2010, but I didn't start going the extra mile in taking care of my hair until 2014. Since then, my hair has expanded past its growth plateau and is healthier than ever! I'm definitely not a natural hair junkie, I promise, but I do love to try a new product every now and then.

Here are ten cool products on my natural hair wish list:

1. Camille Rose Naturals

I'm a big fan of Shea Moisture, but Camille Rose Naturals is one of the brands I want to try. In specific, I want to use the Almond Jai Twisting Butter, Moroccan Pear Conditioning Custard, and the Sweet Ginger Cleansing Rinse. Reading the ingredients, I think it's dope that these products don't have your typical shea butter based ingredient (nothing wrong with that because I love shea butter). One product even has caramel in it. Like, c'mon who's ever heard of caramel in hair products?! That's so fly to me, and the pink, Victorian styled labels are super cute. The names of these products sound like they smell so amazing and my spirit is telling me I'd love them on my hair.

2. Denman Brush

I heard about denman brushes a few years ago and I'm interested in trying one. These brushes are used for detangling. I don't know about y'all, but before wash day when I'm pre-pooing, detangling my hair is a MUST.

3. Slap Cap

In the wintertime, my hair is usually braided or I rock heawraps. Basically, it's what I call "protective style season". The slap cap was created by Grace Eleyae and are satin-lined caps that wont break your hair off like regular caps. Us naturals know how important it is to reduce hair breakage at all costs which is why we wear bonnets and scarves at night. Slap caps are not only good for wearing in the winter, but you can also sleep in them!

4. Alikay Naturals

Another brand I want to try is Alikay Naturals. I've heard amazing reviews on these products from everyone who has used them. I'm interested in using the Caribbean Coconut Milk Shampoo, Lemongrass Leave-In Conditioner, and the Honey and Sage Deep Conditioner

5. Satin pillow

I've always been about that bonnet and headwrap life for night hair maintenance, but I wouldn't mind testing out a satin pillow for sleepy time.

6. TGIN

Thank God I'm Natural (TGIN) has a store right here in my city that I plan on checking out. I want to twist my hair with the Butter Cream Moisturizer and the Twist and Define Cream for some fly ass twist-outs and braid outs.

7. Deep Conditioning Heat Cap

Like many naturals, I deep condition my hair at least 1-2 times a month. Many suggest adding heat (sitting under a dryer) while deep conditioning so hair can absorb all the nutrients in the conditioner. I never use heat during deep conditioning sessions, but I'd love to try a deep conditioning heat cap to see how it helps my hair.

8. Hair Length Check Marker T-Shirt

My hair is growing like weeds, and I'm always doing length checks every few months to see how long it's gotten. Only problem is, it's hard to measure how long it's gotten without marking it down. The numbers on the back of these shirts would be so helpful in measuring length.

9. Loc soc

Not only do naturals with locs rock loc socs, but even loose naturals too. I'm ready to get my Erykah Badu on with some larger than life headwraps and loc socs are just what I need to get the look!

10. Avocado oil

I've tried the popular coconut oil on my hair. Not to mention olive oil, grapeseed oil, peppermint, castor, lavender, carrot, and tea tree oils, but never avocado oil.
