First "look of the day" post of 2018, wooh-hoo! It's been a minute since my last LOTD post. Since it's winter, it's a lot harder for me to push out fashion looks since it's extremely cold here in Chicago. I've been keeping it simple with my Ugg boots, pants, and long sleeved tops, plus I haven't been going out like usual since it's "sit yo ass down" season. Thankfully, we recently got a milder weekend of forty-five degrees so I took it as an opportunity to dress up and hit the town!

This Xhiliration blue flower pattered, turtleneck dress screamed "winter" to me! Although it's not one of my usual vintage pieces, it does have a mod and retro feel. It may be a bit unorthodox to wear flower prints in the cold of the winter, but I think it worked splendidly.
I purchased an amazing pair of lavendar and purple Riverstone cowgirl boots while on one of my thrifting adventures. I couldn't wait to wear these! I'm a huge fan of cowgirl boots and the overall Western look and I love mixing and matching the attire with different pieces. I feel the boots really made the ensemble stand out.
I wanted this to be a rather simple look, so I chose minimal accessorizes. I scored a fab pair of vintage 1980's faux pearl drop and dangle earrings and finalized the ensemble with my vintage suede, blue Coach purse (#9206) and my Juicy Couture fox fur stole from on old tweed coat.
The key to wearing florals in the winter is to embrace darker, cooler colors like blues, jade greens, and purples. Add a piece of fur and a pair of stylish boots to accessorize, and wallah! Stay tuned for the next LOTD post. Not to give too much away, but I'll be serving all types of vintage glamour!
