Product Review: DevaCurl Decadence Products
The good people at Influenster sent ya girl some natural hair products this time, guys! In my last VoxBox, I received some complimentary products from the popular hair care company DevaCurl. Let me be completely honest, at first I was very skeptical about using Deva Curl's products. Why? Because I assumed they were filled with harsh chemicals and I do get a bit uneasy when it comes to the more mainstream/popular brands. A lot of times their ingredients aren't always naturalista-friendly. Contrary to my suspense, these products are all natural and don't have any sulfates or other nasty ingredients.

In my box, I received two samples of DevaCurl's No Poo Decadence Cleanser, the One Condition Decadence Milk Conditioner, and one 8 oz bottle of their Leave-In Decadence.
Cleanser:
The cleanser was my least favorite of the three items. While there was a pleasant scent, I felt there was no good "slip". It is a "cleansing shampoo", so perhaps that's why it didn't have much slip. Now this is a shampoo that doesn't lather and I have no issue with that, I just wish it felt better on my hair.
Conditioner:
I really liked the conditioner. It has a sweet smell and left my hair very soft and moisturized. Literally no complaints.
Leave-In:
Like the conditioner, I enjoyed the leave-in also. After conditioning, I did the LOC method with DC's leave-in, coconut oil, and Mielle Organics' Avocado Moisturizing Hair Milk and braided it up to dry overnight. I have 4c textured hair, so usually my hair doesn't "curl", but this leave-in did the trick giving me a short, curly afro look.
Overall my hair did feel moisturized and it did feel "weightless" as promised. With exceptions to the cleanser, the conditioner and leave-in is gonna be a "yes" from me, dawg.
Rating: 9/10
