I tried Moroccan clay powder for the first time during the pandemic shutdown and let me tell you how it went.
I typically use bentonite clay for my facials, however trying something new never hurt anybody. Moroccan red clay isn’t as popular or known in the U.S. as bentonite clay is, but the benefits are just as essential to great skin and hair as the popular powder.
Some of the benefits include:
detoxifying skin
stimulating circulation in skin
removes oil from skin
shrinks pores
exfoliates skin
This clay powder has been used since ancient times and contains essential nutrients like potassium and and magnesium. While the clay originating from Morocco is used primarily for hair and skin beautifying, it also is used medicinally. It’s best recommended for sensitive and acne prone skin.
I used this earthy toned clay as a facial by adding a bit of apple cider vinegar and tea tree oil into a mortar to create a mixture. I put it on my cleansed face and left it on for about ten minutes and rinsed afterwards. The same can be done with hair in a matter one would perform a bentonite clay mask treatment.
So will you be giving this powder a try or are you already a fan? Let me know in the comments below!
