Ladies, it's pedicure season! Yesterday I visited Re'Luxe Nail Spa Boutique in the River North area of Chicago. I've been wanting to visit this spot for the longest. I found out about this spa through a viral Facebook post that stated it's a Black owned business so I had to make it a priority to go out and support. Plus I'm somewhat of a "girly girl" who loves to be pampered, feel and look fabulous.

Re'Luxe was founded by Jasmine Clayton and opened in December of 2016. Not only does this boutique specialize in nail services but also offers spa services from body waxing to eyelash extensions with a price range from $15 to $800. Everything about Re'Luxe oozes luxury and glamour. What makes this jewel stand out from other salons are the unique services such as the "You Are Golden" 24 karat gold manicure and pedicure service which can't be found anywhere else in the Chicagoland area except at Re'Luxe. If that's not exclusive and fancy as hell, I don't know what is. #queenstatus


I set my appointment for 7:00pm and arrived early, so I just chilled in the waiting area browsing some fashion magazines. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially the young lady at the front desk. Although it was a Tuesday, the shop was busy so I didn't get started until 7:30pm-ish. No biggie for me. Online, I saw how lovely the interior design was set up, but it looks way better in person. Re'Luxe is absolutely gorgeous inside decorated with a West Coast inspired spa theme. So during those winter days, you can imagine you're out in Cali soaking in the sun.


There's a wall filled with a rainbow of nail polishes and lacquers from Tom Ford to Yves Saint Laurent, manicure stations adjacent to the window, and a row of throne-like pedicure stations in the back of the establishment. Hands down, I was sold by the pedicure stations.


I received the Luxe Classique manicure service by Emily and loved every moment of it because it was surely "re'luxing". I totally forgot the name of the shade, but I chose a spiffy purple O,P.I. color. The service began with removing my old polish, having my nails soaked, cuticles tended to, a sugar scrub wash, butter cream massage, hot towel wrap, and final color placement.


This place is everything and I know it's going to be poppin' for the upcoming spring and summer months. It would be great for them to eventually add in services for children and teens for mommy-daughter spa days. I enjoyed my time at Re'Luxe and I'll most definitely be returning for a pedicure and a spa day!
