Autumn fashion is superior. It's the deep berry colors, layers of clothing, chunky fabrics like wools and leathers that make an outfit chic.
Sure summer and spring fashion is great, but there's a certain mystique and next level of decadence brought with the fall looks. Kinda like this piece I'm wearing!
One of my favorite autumn (and winter for that matter) colors has to be burgundy. It's mature, screams 90's like no other, can be worn effortlessly in the day and night. You can't get any better than a deep burgundy piece for the colder months, especially if it has a velvet texture and look.
The vintage Nite Line burgundy dress is all that and more! I wanted to create evening drama with this look. An ensemble with a nod to the late 90's. Although it's from the 1980's and definitely an item the late Phyllis Hyman would have adored, I just had to add my Deborah wide brim, sequin adorned hat because you just can't get anymore dramatic than that.
But I just had to take it further with the deep colors. A Wilson's Leather fur coat here, a pair of black leather cowboy boots there, and knee high socks. You guys already know that I love to remix different eras together and this look certainly categorized that to a tee. The pearl cameo choker definitely adds some Victorian era oomf!
