Look of the Day: Rocking A Sequin Blazer In the Daytime

Most of the time people style sequined pieces for evening looks. I'm not one of those people! I've been wracking my brain thinking of how to wear elaborate garments during the day. A few years ago, I scored this sassy Leslie Fay Evenings pink, purple, and blue sequined blazer while on a vintage adventure and that bad boy still had the original tag on it. Since my recent wear, I only wore it once. I had to find new ways to wear it during the day because it's too fly to be sitting in my closet doing nothing.

With a little inspiration from Pinterest, I decided like Solange to play it simple and style the fancy number with a plain white top and a pair of St. John's Bay jeans. Since it's still winter, I choose my Riverstone cowgirl boots I wore in my "Winter Flowers" look.

Accessories were pretty minimal since this is a daytime ensemble. A pair of gold and white stud earrings, my usual gold rings, faux pearl bracelet, and one of my favorite gold, heart shaped brooches! I think a purple clutch or bag would have worked awesomely with this look, but I opted for my Brio! bag I wore in my "Black and White 80's Opulence" LOTD. This look transcends eras despite the blazer being from the 1980's decade, but my Warby Parker "Louise" glasses really put a cherry on top and makes it super retro!

This is initially a winter look, but it can work well for any season. With spring and better weather coming, I'm going to be all sequined out for daytime looks! Please believe, you will see this blazer again!
