I can't believe it's been twenty years since the new millennium! Growing up in the early to mid 2000's was everything. I miss the fashion (which is why I did this shoot last year), the music, the limited, yet available technology. One of my favorite things about being a teenager in the mid-2000's in specific was going to Magic Photos at North Riverside Mall and Ford City Mall for glitter back ground photoshoots. Baby, if you grew up in Chicago or in the surrounding area back in the day you know exactly what I'm talking about!



Since I love an ol' flashy 2000's look, I had to pay homage to my upbringing and do a Magic Photos themed shoot. All things tacky MySpace backgrounds, tinted shades, glitter tops, and denim.


Girbaud Jeans were an all time favorite in urban fashion when I was a younger tenderoni. I came across a pair while thrifting and was elated! Do you know how hard it is to find a pair of these joints? Paired with a Hot Kiss brand glitter top and my vintage 2000's Dooney & Bourke purse, I was super ready to be a video vixen in an Usher music video circa 2004.
