Product Review: Mammoth Hair Oil

A few weeks ago, I tweeted my "Natural Hair Wish List" blog post and was contacted by a natural hair company called Mammoth Hair Oil. I was asked if I would like to try some and I agreed and was sent a bottle two days later. Mammoth Oil is an all natural hair oil company that promotes healthy, strong, hair using all natural oils. The oil can even be used in any hair type from straight to kinky.



Here's a short run down of the oils used in Mammoth Oil and the benefits of them:

 Almond Oil: promotes shiny hair, fights dandruff, promotes hair growth

 Argan Oil: helps damaged hair, reduces frizz, reduces split-ends

 Avocado Oil: natural spf, hydrates hair, hair strengthener

 Castor Oil: helps hair growth, hair moisturizer, thickens hair

 Coconut Oil: softens hair, hydrating

 Jojoba Oil: reduces dandruff, reduces breakage, anti-infectious

 Olive Oil: hydrating, promotes hair growth

Pros:

  • Super moisturizing and hydrating
  • Blend of different hair growth promoting oils 
  • Has a medium consistency and isn't greasy
  • Can be used as a sealer to lock in moisture
  • Super softening

I first used the Mammoth Oil during a "wash day" with the "LOC Method" (leave-in, oil, and conditioner method used after washing and conditioning). When I styled my hair into my signature afro, I noticed it was very soft and I think the oil benefited it a lot. I usually use grapeseed oil or olive oil during the LOC Method, but I was really impressed after using the Mammoth Oil.

I also used a few drops of oil as a sealer after moisturizing and as a scalp massager. I usually use one oil at a time in my hair and I've never used an oil blend like this before but I'm really digging this Mammoth Oil. I would definitely recommend this oil to anyone who is looking for all-natural products for their natural hair journey and lifestyle.
